Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees is beautiful to look at but being out on the water is even better.
The boat ramp at SouthWinds Marina in Bernice gives you 24-hour access to Grand Lake.
We think we have the finest boat ramp on Grand Lake because it runs north and south, which saves the hassle of loading a boat east/west.
It’s a really good ramp. We regularly have people come to SouthWinds Marina to put their boat in the water to go over to the Bernice State Park.
In addition, the boat ramp is lighted, which makes it ideal for launching or loading a boat when it’s dark outside.
There is a $5 fee for the public to use the boat ramp per day. There is also a YEARLY option that is $100. Please come in and see the marina manager if you would like to purchase a yearly pass, or if you need change for the daily fee. We also take credit/ debit cards if needed. Parking is available for vehicles with trailers at SouthWinds Marina.
When you come back to the marina by water, look for the double flag poles on the west side of Horse Creek as you approach the Bernice bridge.
SouthWinds Marina is located on Horse Creek on Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees at 28227 S. 4535 Road, in Bernice. We can be reached at (918) 256-8650.
